Parlini Land for Schools: Terms of Service Outline
By signing up to Parlini Land For Schools, you agree to our Terms of Service.
1. Subscription & Financial Terms
Term: Subscriptions are billed for a 12-month period.
Invoicing: A new invoice will be issued at the end of each 12-month term. Schools will receive 30 days’ notice of any upcoming price changes for the next renewal.
Payment Method: All payments must be processed via the Parlini Land online payment system. Access is strictly contingent upon receipt of payment.
Onboarding: Upon successful payment, Parlini Land will provide an digital invoice and a team member will contact the school within 48 hours to finalize platform access and setup.
No Refunds: All payments are final. Parlini Land does not offer full or partial refunds for unused time.
Late Payment & Grace Period: If a renewal payment is not received by the expiry date, a 30-day grace period will be granted. If payment is still not received after 30 days, access to the platform will be automatically revoked.
2. Scope of Use (“Site License”)
Single Site Definition: One subscription grants access to one physical school building/campus only. Multi-school districts must purchase a license for each individual site.
Unlimited Access: Within the registered site, access is unlimited for all currently enrolled students, employed teachers, and active classrooms.
Fair Use: Use is restricted to “Normal Educational Operations.” Automated bots, scraping, or non-educational technical stress-testing are strictly prohibited.
3. Data Privacy & GDPR Compliance
Compliance: Parlini Land is fully compliant with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Roles: The School is the Data Owner; Parlini Land acts as the Data Processor.
No Commercialization: Parlini Land will never sell student or teacher data to third parties, nor will it use such data for targeted advertising.
Data Deletion: If a subscription is terminated or expires, all associated student and school data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 60 days.
4. Intellectual Property & Restrictions
License Grant: The school is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software. This is not a sale of the software code or content.
Prohibited Conduct: Users may not reverse engineer, scrape, copy language content for external use, or re-sell access to any third party.
5. Liability & Warranty
“As-Is” Service: Parlini Land is provided “as is.” While we use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain 100% uptime during school hours, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Educational Outcomes: Parlini Land does not guarantee specific fluency levels or academic results.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parlini Land’s total liability is capped at the total amount paid by the school during the 12 months preceding any claim.
6. Termination for Cause
Right to Revoke: Parlini Land reserves the right to terminate access immediately, without refund, if the school or its users:
Share login credentials with other schools.
Attempt to bypass security measures.
Post or create inappropriate content within the platform.
